Join the Dark Sky Ranger at Lilly Bluff Overlook to view what is considered one of the best meteor showers of the year; the Perseid Meteor Shower. An NPS telescope will also be available to view other stellar objects in the night sky. This event is subject to clear-sky conditions. Please call the Obed Visitor Center before 5 p.m. on the day of the event to confirm status of the event.

• When: Saturday, August 12th at 11:00 p.m. (ET)

• Where: Meet at Lilly Bluff Overlook

• This is a free event. All ages are welcome to attend, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

• Please wear sturdy shoes and bring a red-light flashlight, blanket, or chair for comfortable seating.
